Same-day change for Aeroplan flight involving redeye

Same-day change for Aeroplan flight involving redeye
I booked an Aeroplan ticket like this:
YVR-SEA (September 26, leave 20:30) on Air Canada Express Jazz
SEA-ORD (September 26, leave 23:49, arrive 5:30 AM on Sept. 27) on United
... flights to/from Poland and back to YVR
What I am curious about is if it's possible to do a same-day change for the YVR-ORD part, by whatever routing? How would I go about doing that? I'm thinking I would prefer to leave much earlier on September 26 if I could.
Also, could I switch to the YVR-ORD nonstop on United at 2:10 PM (assuming there is space)?
