Please note that while the conversion of Membership Rewards® points from American Express Cardmember accounts into Aeroplan Miles is still possible, it is not eligible for this bonus mile promotion.
*still* possible?

Didn't expect Amex to count for promo but don't like the word "still."

Great!

Out of curiosity, how often do they have these convert promos? I'm a little short of one of the bonus thresholds.

If I recall correctly, twice per year for the last few years.

Would have been nice if they did give promo for AMEX.

Yeah, it feels like it's been forever since Amex MR points were part of an AE promotion

How many points would you get if you transfer 20000 SPG points? Do you get 25000+4000 bonus?

Unless things had changed since the previous rule, you will indeed get 25000 + 4000 bonus. Hence, for those who do plan to convert SPG to Aeroplan for this promo, if you have 40K, you will get 60K Aeroplan in total.

So much easier than logging in to aeroplan. One click on my home screen and my recent transactions are right there!

I am with SPG also ............... just curious if you all consider this a good deal? Personally, I don't plan on using the miles for quite some time but not sure if I should unload some from SPG to get the deal?............another part of me is actually worried what AC/Aeroplan might do to this program at any given time without warning. You never know one day from the next what is going to happen so I would hate to transfer a bunch of miles then see something happen with the program.
Maybe I'm just paranoid but these award programs seem to make these decisions overnight!

If you will not been using the erroplans anytime soon, I would not convert. It is only a matter of time until the next round of devaluations. I use them on a regular basis for family members so it pays for me to use 80,000 SPG points to get 125,000 erroplans once or twice a year.
