There used to be one In Charge do did a mid-flight meal service in J. Work the entire cabin up...was just silly. I can get 8-9 hours of sleep. If I need a snack, isn't a far walk to the galley.

I would much get uninterrupted sleep than an extra meal
Absolutely. Food, snacks, or even having breakfast ahead of the pack is a simple request away. The cabin would be infuriated if we turned up the lights for a mid-flight meal.

You can take the train from the airport to Circular Quay, but it's probably about a 10 min walk from there to the PH. It would be easier to take a taxi from CQ if you have checked bags.

AC034 (YVR-YYZ)

They've been known to make some borderline exceptions for catering, but 0900 is fully within the Breakfast hour/window. My recommendation is to order a Fruit Platter (FPML) and to request later/flexible dining.

AC34 SYD Departure Lounge?

I know this has been asked before but I cannot find the specific posts...

So here goes again:

Is there a departure lounge for AC J/*G pax at SYD for those on AC34?

Air New Zealand Lounge.

There is no arrivals lounge at SYD however.

Thanks - which gate at SYD does AC34 usually leave from?

(Nevermind - I noticed on the SYD website that AC34 leaves out of Gate 57, which is near the NZ lounge)

Apparently ANZ lounge is closed for renovations

Only time you can wonder into the SQ lounge without an argument

Neither the NZ nor Star websites indicate such a closure. Given the size of this lounge (and the comparatively small size of the SQ lounge), NZ would have to make some pretty substantial alternative arrangements to close the whole thing.

"Air NZ Sydney lounge closes for refurb"

Note the mention of where to go and Air Canada pax to YVR

So NZ does have an alternative, which is essentially what I wondered. The Star and NZ websites show this alternative without explicitly saying it is a temp arrangement.

You can...but they usually "encourage" you to use the ANZ lounge
