“Air Canada cannot compete with WestJet in terms of brand experience, nor do I think they even care.”

funnily enough I just got off the phone with a AC rep and he was boasting of how many people call in and are pleased with their service. I pointed out the people leaving AC but he said he never hears about that and that Canadians don't typically complain but rather take their service elsewhere. (It was in regards to why your aeroplan number with your meal preferences doesn't translate into AC giving your meal preferences and you have to phone in every time).

The real question is how much advertising does AC buy in their magazine.

Another strong endorsement for West Jet.
Air Canada needs to start paying attention. Both management and general personnel need to start working together or they may all find themselves out of a job in 5 years. It's happened to other valued legacy airlines, and a day will come when West Jet, Porter and others provide a viable alternative to the point where the government and the public say, so long AC it was nice knowing you,

Certainly nothing to brag about especially if compared to the others in the category. The lack of flexibility in changing flights nowadays unless an upcharge is paid, as well as the change fee, the switching of aircraft which denies the paying customer the product that was purchased...................
