Huge Increase in Flight Pass Price
I know that prices are going up on airfare, but, the price increase in Flight Pass seems disproportionally high. I bought a 30 Credit Latitude Transcontinental Pass in February 2012 for $25,401.60. Today the same one lists on the Air Canada website for $30,273.00. This is a staggering price increase of approximately 20% in 10 months. I went to buy another pass today and was stunned to see the new pricing. I declined the purchase.
Does anyone know why this increase is so high? Are aviation costs rising at a much higher rate than overall inflation or is this just a pure marketing pricing exercise or ????

I'm surprised. I've been looking at the BC Commuter/Regional pass and 9 times out of 10 it has been cheaper to book my flight last minute (a day or two out) than going through the pass. I always thought that if they wanted my money up front they should be giving me a discount.

Since I use these products for travel price certainty on contracts, it isn't the discount I looked for as much as the flexibility for a reasonable price. 20% increase and close to web pricing means I will need to start to shop for a new SME-friendly tool. sigh.
