I was searching for some TPAC fares on AC.com, and it seems the T+ fares cost about $2500 these days, which is kind of ridiculous.
From AC's website, the $2500 price tags appear to be H class tickets.
Does AC ever release S or W T+ fares for TPAC flights these days?
For those of you who buy TPAC tickets on a regular basis, have you seen any cheaper T+ TPAC tickets this year?
I'm debating whether I should wait for a sale/price drop or just purchase a ticket with another airline, as I need to fly across the ocean next April.
Interesting; I ran a calendar search on the matrix; searching for S,V,W and on my sample search of YYZ-HKG or NRT; nothing (I put in h also to ensure results where returned)....
So is AC not posting any S,W,V fares to asia anymore? Do they really think people will spend an extra ~1500$ to fly AC versus UA?

You are correct.
AC website to NRT for example only offers H fare in Tango + as the cheapest fare.
AMEX Plat services only can see H fare in Tango + as the cheapest fare.
Travel agent can only sell H fare in Tango + as the cheapest fare.
AC is being greedy and it will blow up in their face... I was going to try and convince our management to pay the 300$ difference for t+ TPAC fares but now that it is in excess of 1000$ there is no way in he'll that will fly.
Congrats AC, you have successfully turned away a loyal customers (200k BIS miles this year and probably 40k in revenue, plus all the staff i influence at in ticket choice at our company).

well this is just it, individuals are not gonna pony up $1000 extra for T+, and there are a lot of companies that still will. In the end AC is selling what used to be T+ and T prices, so they win there with the leisure traveller, and companies still pay T+, so they also win there with the business flyer. Very good strategy - in the end, they will find enough suckers/companies that will pay up with a hope of an upgrade.

The pain is felt for those buying business class fare too. AC's discount Exeuctive Fare is significantly more expensive than its competitors to many Asian destinations.
I have difficulties in justifying paying $600~700 more to fly AC instead of CX from YYZ to HKG in business class, or >$1,000 more than some other airlines with an intermediary connection stop.
Great for AC if it is able to find travellers to pay that hefty premium.
Even if you pay full pop for E+ seating it's still way less expensive than AC's T+ fare, and still pays 100% mileage. Sometimes, you can buy cheapie business class on United for almost the same (or occasionally, even less) than AC sells T+ economy seats.
I am voting with my wallet next year. In February, for the first time in 7 years I will cross the Atlantic on another carrier other than AC. (In this case UA 100% vs 50% miles and a significant price difference.)
No T fares on ex LHR flights as far as I can see. I guess with BA giving 100% miles, they are trying to stay competitive. There are T fares ex Canada to LHR, obviously thinking that the Canadian market is sufficiently captive to default choose AC. Other European stations where the home carriers short change on mileage have T fares.

Unfortunately thatīs not the case. AC has introduced Tango fares on most routes ex-LHR (except for some Canadian cities), however the fare difference between T and T+ isnīt as bad as with most other European cities.
Oh I had only looked at tickets to Canadian airports. I now see that you can go in T from LHR-LGA for $65 roundtrip. YQ at 6 times that price. The Classic Plus pricing must be about 10,000 miles. Poor sucker that calls and books that itinerary with 60k miles (someone sure will).
I know thread is on TPAC flights, but I just searching for a flight from YYZ to CPH for March Break and found no Tango fare listed. I click the "show me the upgrade" box and selected the direct flights and the total come to $1336.77. I do not watch the price for this route all the time, but kind of recall it is about the price that I used to look at, maybe $100 more or so. Maybe AC decided to pull back the whole Tango fare and go back to Tango Plus afterall? (yes, I know it is a dream) If I remember correctly Tango / 50% had happened in the past (4 or 5 years ago) for TATL flights and then they removed it and only re-introduce a few montsh ago. Hope someone from AC did finally realized the whole Tango fare for TATL / TPAC is really not going to work.

played with the starting city and found starting at SYR is when I see Tango Fare (T Class) and the total for SYR-YYZ-CPH rt is CAD$859.71 ai. Then I click the "show me the upgrade" box and select the exact same flights that now book in Tango Plus Fare (S Class) and the total if still only CAD$960.71 ai. So Tango vs. Tango Plus is only CAD$61!
