Unrecognized Super Elites
After an extensive search of this forum for an answer to this question, I am going to submit it to the wise sages of this forum.
I have been an aeroplan Elite for many years and now have been a super elite member for a few years and I have to say, it is GREAT!! From when I enter the Airport to when I leave, I am made to feel great, every whim and fancy are catered to. I never have to wait in line and on the plane, FAs can predict my needs even before I have to chance to ask for anything. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am spoilt.
The problem that I seek your help for is when I leave the airport and get home. The shock of going from the King of the Airport to the Dirty Rascal of the castle
is too much to bear. Is it really fair for a Super Elite to be taking out the trash or loading the dishwasher or feeding the critters around the palace? The crux of the matter is that Mrs. Yvrflyr doesn't recognize SE status.
So for the fellow brothers and sisters on this forum, please weigh in with your words of wisdom and help earn this unrecognized SE the status he deserves at home.
All of the very best for a safe and enjoyable respite. And may Santa come bearing SE for all.
I had only been AC*E, and seeking SE right now with a MR. But I think in general for us that is on the road alot, your spouse kind of expect you will do your fair share of the stuff at home when you are back in town. While we think we can relax at home after a (very) long trip.
Overall, I sleep more on the road than at home. As after a long day at work, I still have a long evening at home afterward. When I am on the road, all I need to do is eat at the hotel to rack up my hotel points, relax and sleep early.
A wise man had once said to me "man mission in life is to keep his woman happy" As no matter how succcessful you are at work, if your woman in your life is not happy, you will not be happy. And I had been trying my best to stand behind this statement as much as I can.

Sitting in First Class on TG and SQ from AKL back to Europe on an award ticket a few years back and having flown only in F or J on AC / UA / LH / LX on every transatlantic flight since, my wife admitted to understand why I have to qualify for SE status and grab every bonus mile every year again.

Sorry, but you need to be Ultra Super Elite 500K (USE500K) for Mrs. yvrflyr to recognize that you are entitled to those privileges.

Take your wife on 5+ overseas trips a year, most of which she is recognized as Mrs SE and she will default to appreciating it. Works for me
