No more free drinks????

Is it true? The unwritten "free first drink after delay of 30 min or more"?? FA told me they are not allowed to do that anymore...

Same here (was in J but in Y headsets were free but no drinks).

Actually 1 free drink after a 30 minute delay was policy until a couple of months ago, although some F/As weren't aware of it.

New policy is comp earphones for a 30 minute delay, but no comp drink. A few F/As aren't aware of this policy either.

No more free drinks????

Free drinks were offered in Y a couple of months back on a 2 hour delayed PHL - YYZ flight. I was in J but thought it was a nice gesture.

ahhh, gone are the days AC was embarrassed by their flight delays... if they did it now, they'd probably go broke

Now that actually surprises me a bit. The people in Y are probably spending less money per year than the people in J, and yet they're the ones receiving compensation.

Isn't it disgusting to see "these people" getting a drink after a two hours waiting.

Two thumbs up. I'd do three but that would be weird.

It was changed on October 1st largely due to Customer feedback. Drinking trends have changed big time over the years. The non-drinkers and not-of-age were commenting "what about me"?? And so, given the gate to gate IFE, what better compensation and time passer than complementary headsets. It's not a cost issue as we give out 10 times more headsets than we did free drinks (present-FT company excluded)

As for the J/C guests? You just get more love.
