Back to the dreaded 763 for YVR-Asian routes
I was looking at some YVR-Asian routes and see that chances are 50% less with R upgrade seats as they have gone back to this old plane with less J class seats than the 777 they used during summer.
T+ fares at $2,000 return and aerolotto with 24 seats only? Bites

A bit misleading. Dates I checked for YVR HKG are 777.
YVR ICN - flew it a few weeks ago, was a 763.
YVR NRT - flew it early summer on a 763.
_____
YYZ NRT - don't believe a 763 can do this route, shows a 77W.
763 cannot do YYZ HKG so they are 77W and 77L

Where are the 777s?
I just booked a TATL and all the routes I checked (YVR-LHR, YEG-LHR, YYC-FRA, YYZ-FRA, YYZ-CDG, YUL-FRA) were all 767s or 333s.

Chances are not necessarily 50% less. A 77W/77L has more econ seats to start with.

Don't the 777's go for some end of year maintenance around now.
I know the YYZ-LHR goes 763 in Dec because of that

They are moved to YYZ-SCL and YYZ-GRU for the southern hemisphere summer, also one is used for the extra SYD flights this year.

No 777's YYZ-MUC at all this past summer. All 330's.

Yes, 763 can do YYZ-NRT. I have flown it a few years ago on a 763 and it was a nearly full flight too.

YYZNRT is well beyond the optimal range of 763.
The fact AC/CP ran it for a while says more about (lack of) alternatives than the ability of 763.
AC might put 787 on YYZNRT to improve yields if it cannot sustain daily 77W service

Yep. Extra YVR-SYD flight per day (or most days) using 777 during northern winter / southern summer.

I flew YVR-NRT in June and it was a 777.
Now I see they are back to the 23 J seat OLD 763...high prices and pods with LIMITED J class seats for UG. Not worth it or an airline not keeping up with the competition.

Let me get this right, You're saying AC would be smarter to lower prices and add J supply??
