When does LX Release seats

Anyone know? I have TK booked from CPT-JNB-IST and LX to GVA

Would pay the 90$ fee to change it over to JNB-ZRH on LX. Problem is using the united calendar; economy seats are few and far between and it seems like there is one day a month for J seats.

The booking is for may 2013; have I really already missed the window or will LX continue to release seats here and there?

I've found that it is really hit and miss - no F seats at all anymore as confirmed by others and J available within the 7-14 day window (perhaps 30 days in some cases?) Best bet, unfortunately, would be to keep checking (duh) and see if you can find something very close in as that seems to work best(sort of like LH)

Or set yourself up for a free seat alert on expertflyer.com to avoid the daily grind of re-checking the availability. . .

I did as you said; have found the flight but it says there are seats available and it cannot creat an alert? I am not sure how to specify a reward seat?

I am (will be) seeking LX J from ZRH-NBO later in 2013 and have been monitoring award seat release on this route very closely. I have noted that on this route, at least, LX have been releasing seats at 300 days very consistently. Not sure if this is true for all LX routes or routes to Africa or just this one.

Another note on LX flights (ZRH-NBO) - if I use Aeroplan to search it gives me a strange error message - ANA and UA are fine.

Yeah I only use united now; AE is useless.

I am at T-272 days right now; so would seem this route they only trickle out seats.

Its funny because ZRH-YUL is almost wideopen which with all the YQ on AC/LH would seem would be the last refuge for the FF (other then UA)
