...unless you first call in and pay AC the price difference to "up-fare" you to Flex.

Hey guys,

I'm fairly new here and have 2 quick questions. I am looking for some help to clear my confusion basically, not for credits.

I booked a RBC Rewards return YYZ - EWR, and checked that it was booked under Flex G.

Since its a Flex fare, I'd imagine it's eligible for an upgrade. Would G make any difference?
Secondly, since I don't have any status yet, and my eUpgrade account has 0 credits, is there a way I can buy some credits or getting status is the only way to accumulate?

Last edited by hsandhar; Mar 27, 2016 at 9:56 pm Reason: can't be selfish; changed wording to make it clear that I'm not looking for upgrade credits, just information.

Flex is an upgradeable fare. Flex G is lower on the totem pole. See the attached link.

You cannot buy credits. You either earn status and credits or someone has to nominate you. And do you really need a upg from YYZ-EWR ? Its less than 2 hours.

Thank you for the reply; very useful!

And no, I don't really need this upgrade; was primarily curious about the G portion and wanted to gain some knowledge that'll come in handy for longer flights (upcoming YYZ-DEL in PY).

This is a long shot early in the year, but if there are any SEs out there who are sitting on a pile of excess eUPs, or know they won't use theirs, or are feeling silly/crazy/altruistic, I'd love to avoid the $750 fee on an upcoming flight to PEK. Pls PM me!

I'll be flying on 26 April 2016 on AC7 from YVR - HKG, and would love an eUp from N class (26 creds), it'd be lovely to sit in J right after my exams are done! Also have a couple discount codes (10% and 15%s) if those can convince!

Bump

Has been a long while since I've been on here. Came on to see if there is any discussion about eUp gifts for end of year and assumed this thread would be active, but since it isn't, thought I would bump it up.

Sorry but due to recent site-wide policy changes soliciting eUpgrade credits is no longer permitted so will close this thread.
