I spoke with the concierge in FRA today and I was told that the AC lounge will open in December 2012/January 2013. It appears that the airport has been upgrading the area and Frankfurt airport construction team ran into delays but AC construction is now well underway. I also asked about the signage and it was removed and will be replaced with updated messaging.

I very much doubt the MLL will be nicer than the new B42 SEN lounge. The LH Biz lounge near B44 isn´t too bad either and generally isn´t too crowded.
IMO the main reason why AC is opening a MLL at FRA is that it´s probably cheaper than paying LH for all the C pax/MLL Club members/etc.

Yes, *G can choose to visit whatever business class or Star Gold lounge they like, though I´m not AC will recommend the MLL to its pax.
It´s always good to have options and the MLL may even offer some benefits that the SEN lounge doesn´t such as having a res agent and/or concierge available. Of course it would be nice to see an "above average" lounge similar to the NZ Koru Clubs, I guess we´ll know sometime next year...

There was a glass sliding door installed when I walked by on Monday Feb 25.
This MLL can fill a niche by serving bacon, sausage and ham now that the two LH lounges seem to increasingly offer pork-free selections!
