January 2016: US Passport + OneWorld Miles

Hi there, FT

With the requirements that all flights are with QR/BA/IB and that you think it's possible to get a visa in time for an early JAN2016 departure, I'm looking to go from Philadelphia to any of the following cities (listed in descending order of interest):

Khartoum
Cairo/Luxor (only if it would be "easier" to get a Sudanese visa in Cairo/at the border)
Algiers
Maputo
Zanzibar
Windhoek (is Comair a OneWorld member?)

Consulate-hopping in Manhattan wouldn't be a problem; the processing time is.

Also, priorities include local delicacies, architecture and otherworldly natural landscapes.

Thanks for your help,
BmB

You can fly Comair from jnb to Windhoek. .it will be coded as a BA flight. Interesting for a half day or so... some interesting North Korean inspired architecture and go see HEros Acre...but for otherworldly landscapes Soussevlei can't be beat. No visa needed for Namibia

Thanks for your reply, worldiswide.

Oh really, something by Mansudae in Namibia? When I was in Pyongyang, that studio was working on something for the DRC.

Have you visited Maputo and/or Zanzibar too? I don't mean to give the impression that I'm only interested in those specific cities. If Namibia was it, then Skeleton Coast looks good. If Maputo, then...not sure yet, but maybe not Beira.
