The US State Department still has a generic safety and security warning, but I wouldn't be too concerned. Use common sense and you should be fine.
I'll be in Marrakech this September and have no worries. My Mom & Aunt were there ~13 months and felt perfectly safe, another friend was there last month and had a great time.
