Senegal visa for US Citizens

It says you can pay the fees and register online then receive your visa when you land OR do it before you go. Is it worth the effort to go to the consulate before my trip to avoid waiting in a huge line after arriving?

Not sure how long it takes to get on arrival, but it was very easy to get the visa from the Embassy in DC earlier this year. Only required one trip to the embassy after paying the fee as they issued it while I waited.

With visa in hand, passing through immigration in DKR was a breeze -- less than five minutes. It probably helped that I came off the SAA flight IAD-DKR since only a handful of people disembarked in DKR.
