Bringing gifts to JRO

We have friends who live in Tanzania. We'd like to bring them some gifts as they are missionaries. Are there any issues with bringing things into Tanzania?

The things that we know they need include yard equipment (handheld stuff like trimmers) and extension cords.

We'd also like to bring in stuffed animals and toys for the children of their friends. Any issue with bringing in a suitcase filled with this kind of stuff?

We're not bringing anything in to sell or engaging in any business transactions. They are purely gifts that would be checked in luggage. Any opinions from those who have been there?

The purpose of our trip is a safari, but we're looking forward to spending a few days visiting friends first.
