Aer Lingus Officially Unveils new Business Class Product [as of Mar 2015]

It looks like Aer Lingus officially unveiled the new lie flat seat:

http://www.aerlingus.com/new-business-class

Based on the video it looks like they went with the standard Thompson Vantage, not the XL as was the rumor.

It looks like they are getting 30 seats up front in the A330-300.

got an email about this today

the current seating in business is 2-2-2

it looks like the new seating might be staggered giving an option of a single window seat in some rows

is that what you see and read from this ?

I see 1 seat on the port side, 2 seats in the middle and alternating 1 or 2 seats on the starboard side.

So it is
1-2-2
1-2-1
1-2-2
1-2-1
and so on

Yes there will be single seats which is a big improvement for those of us that like them. Having flown this type of design a few times over the Atlantic I am glad they went with this. All in all its looks quite promising.

Now we just need to know the TIMELINE and DESTINATIONs

I assume only A330 will get the new cabin? and not on those new routes on wet-lease 757 (SFO/YYZ)?

Looking forward to redeem Avios for YYZ-JFK-DUB-Europe!!

I think to do this they will need to remove the 3 rows of economy forward of door 2 on the -300's...

SFO will be first with the new cabin due to being the longest TATL route.

It appears this will be A330 specific, rolled out on long haul routes during 2015 beginning in March.

Highlights include the Thompson Vantage six metre seat-bed with built-in massage function and turn down service, shoe and laptop storage, AC and USB power, AVOD with 16" touch screen, 90% seats with direct aisle access (the outboard starboard seat is likely to be the exception), in-flight Wi-Fi, etc.

More on Australian Business Traveller as well. Looks like a quite competitive product.

Does anyone know when EI will start loading the seat maps. I see that the seat maps from March 2015 are still showing the current configuration.

That sounds pretty impressive. I could manage with a two metre bed, but in the land of Finn McCool they still cater for giants

Based this http://www.thompsonaero.com/index.php/news/site and this https://twitter.com/AerLingus/status/494845615596396544 the new seats will be in all A330 by March. I hope the timeline is accurate and the seats are installed. I only booked Aer Lingus when I learned of their new Business cabin. I would not have paid for business in their old product.
