That is indeed the case for me. I am actually happy with this, as I don't have that much more travel planned for this year so it's nice to not have to worry about requalification. It also means that any travel I do need to do can be booked based on price and convenience rather than the need to requalify.

Well based on this post from the end of March, I can now blow the GRE number theory of being sequential based on the number of requalifications up to that date out of the water (sorry for bringing it up again KLouis ).
Requalification flight: 24th May 2017
New card arrived: 23rd June 2017
Location: Berlin
Code on letter: 000133 - GRE
The GRE mystery continues!

It means you are the 133rd person to requalify on this particular date.
(The previous discussion all relates to people with the 24 November date)

Nice theory! Unfortunately, I have a 24th November requalification date too so I stand by my comment that the mystery continues.

I will be in Europe from mid-November to mid-December this year. My current gold status expires on 24 November 2017. Between 15-20 November I will fly 4 A3 segments to lock in my status for 2018. 2 questions:
- Can I safely assume that any A3 flights I take as of 25 November will automatically count for 2019 requalification?
- Will there be any problems accessing gold benefits, especially lounges, in December before my new Gold card arrives?

ad 2. - there should be none within the main airports and airlines own lounges. Some contract lounges at secondary airports may not recognize your electronic gold card (app) from get got, but the situation is changing for better every day.

Validity July or November?
I'm sure this has been discussed here before, but I'm a little confused:
I requalified for Gold late June. Yesterday I got a new card, showing validity until 24/07/2018. However on the website it says, that my "tier has been retained up to 23/11/2018"
Which one is correct now? (July or November 2018?)
(Logical, for me, would have been to get the new card with validity until November 2018.) Thanks.

Hello there,
following scenario where I am unsure:
Currently I am Gold til 05/18.
In order to requalify I am missing 4000 Miles and 4 A3 segments.
Let's say in 10/17 I earn 5000 Miles on another airlines than A3, then fly the 4 A3 segments in 12/17, I understand the 5000 Miles earned in 10/17 will be lost, right?
However if I fly the 4 A3 segements first (let's say in 10/17), I would requalify and my new status would be til 05/19, correct?
I would then fly the 5000 miles on another carrier in 12/17, would this at all count already for requalification to 05/20? Or will everyhting I fly until 05/18 be more or less for nothing (I mean in regard of status, of course I still earn mileage), and it's a better choice to place bookings after 05/18 in order for them to count for requalification to 05/20?
Hope this is not too unclear... Thanks very much!

Whatever you fly until 05/18 will only count towards the status until 05/19. After 05/18, you can start working on requalification until 05/20. Sadly, anything in between completing requalification limits and start of the next tracking period is kinda lost.
