Award booking on Cathay Pacific?!
HI all,
I imagine someone has a quick answer on this:
Can I book Cathay Pacific flight from HKG-PEK if its a code share with Air China?!
(already booked on Air China, but guess could be changed to CX operated flight)

The very quick answer: sorry, but no!
The longer version: codeshare seats are only bought by the airline (CA in this case) on a revenue basis in order to sell on for profit - either directly on the single flight or to help construct a more seamless larger itinerary. Even if Starnet could cope, they would never be offered as redemption seats. These are designed to fill what would otherwise be empty seats on each airline's own metal to at least get some revenue from them.
You will therefore only ever find redemption space under a prime flight number. As CX is not a Star airline, there will not be Star award space.
