TK allows purchase of up to 10,000 miles (elite qualifying) per calendar year at a price of $30/per 1,000 miles. Don't think Aegean will set price higher than that and 10,000 limit is also reasonable. I still need 6000 miles to re-qualify (without A3 segments). If I'm able to purchase those 6000 EQMs for ~$180 I will definitely do that rather than go on additional trips.
CORRECTION:
After second reading I noticed it says that TK status miles are sold for $70/per 1000 miles.

Link via log-in to your M&B account.
Tier miles: maximum 2,000 in increments of 500
Award: maximum 50,000 in increments of 1000
There does not appear to be any transaction fee.

Blues were never slated to have the ability to buy miles.

Well, hats off to those who correctly predicted the precise cap on the number of Tier Miles that could be purchased!!
I'm also glad that they enabled this feature well before the end of the month. It gives those of us who still have to tie up requalification more info with which to plan requalification in these final 6 weeks or so of the first year of the new programme.

Got the news from Aegean on October 26th that one can now buy A3 Award and Tier miles and I tried it out right away.
Tier Miles sell for 25eur per 500 with a max of 2000 for Gold and 1000 for Silver. My kid was 300 miles short to Gold re-qualification, so bought 25 eur worth of Tier Miles. Payment done by credit card, Miles credited instantly and Gold status extended instantly.
We can now bank the miles of the planned re-qualification flight to the other program which I am using as a back-up.
This worked surprisingly nice, easy and quick from their website.

What happened to the tier miles that were over the treshold for status renewal? Did you lose them, or did you get to keep them towards the next status renewal? (I know what the T&Cs say, but I've also read some posts where they were counted towards the next status renewal)
