*G benefits on Aegean flights operated by Olympic Air

Next week I'm on a flight from ATH-JMK that is operated by Olympic Air. How do *G benefits work on this carrier? I know they are now owned by Aegean, but they are not listed as a *A partner.

I'm curious if I will receive these benefits:
  • Priority Boarding on the ATH-JMK Olympic operated segment as a UA *G
  • Lounge Access in ATH
  • Extra piece of checked baggage

Thanks!

Can't answer questions 2 and 3, but don't worry about the first one. OA flies to JMK with its turboprops, which are always parked far from the main airport building. If they enforce priority boarding, it means that you'll be the first on the bus and, therefore, priority boarding is not something you really want...

Without having personal experience, my guess would be that you wouldn't get the benefits as UA *G.

OA doesn't officially belong to Star Alliance and the above mentioned benefits are only for *A partners. If you were A3 *G you would be eligible for lounge access etc. due to fact that they are owned by aegean.

Why not simply call A3 or Olympic Air and ask them?

Yeah - tried that. Not much of a clue on the other end of the phone!

Did you call A3 or Olympic Air?

I've travelled in a group of 6 on OA (A3 flight code)- where 2 were A3*G's and 1 was a TK*G

We did get all the usual benefits for all 6 - but i woudn't know if if the reason was the weight of the 2 A3*G's or if the TK*G played a part or not.

Well sadly the lounge dragon at ATH A3 lounge does not agree. We were denied entry on OA flight (A3 ticket).

We did get the priority tagged bags and the check-in lady had said we would have lounge access, but we were denied it at the lounge.

See the reason in post #3 here.
