Very interesting. I wonder how long we have to wait this time to see any tangible benefits for Le Club members given that we are still waiting for anything tangible after the FRHI purchase.

Great! Good to know that Accor is starting to expand even further to luxury hotels. However I do hope they do a status match and do it fast unlike what is happening with the FRHI deal

Well currently there is little interest for me to choose between a partner hotel or an Accor hotel. If they added more benefits like room upgrade and etc then it would be a big deal.

Banyan Chongqing BeiBei would be lovely if it did happen though prices start at 3000rmb per night which is very high for China.

Very interesting indeed. Although I don't think Banyan Tree has a loyalty rewards program, hence status match does not arise, I do look forward to see what benefits they will extend to Accor members apart from earning stay points.

So what does this mean for Banyan tree listings? Will this mean that Banyan tree won't join the Le club program?

Most likely not. Considering AH only owns 5% of BT. I wonder though if Bazin has some other ideas up his sleeve in regards to BT. My personal opinion is that the 10% option rate was too high.

He is hoarding cash for the AF deal to make sure the French gov't will need to bail them out and then he's free to go on a shopping spree for more brands that do not add to their coverage and provide internal competition.

Not necessarily, they may still market through Accor and possibly join the programme. Personally I had thought Banyan Tree would have been a good fit, certainly a better one than Air France but what do I know .....

I received it too. You may be right, or it could just be that this mass e-mailing was prepared days or weeks ago.

So does anyone know what kind of marketing agreement does Accor have with Banyan Tree? It seems we can book Banyan Tree on Accor website but it's not part of LCAH and hence can't earn points for staying there, let alone getting elite benefits.
Doesn't provide much of an incentive to book BT properties at all.
