Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit vs Sofitel So Bangkok

I will be going to BKK in Aug and would like to try out either one of the 2 new Sofitel Hotels - Sofitel BKK Sukhumvit vs Sofitel So Hotel. Which hotel will be preferred? Any opinions on both hotels?

Sukhumvit located in a much better location with restaurants, SkyTrain etc nearby while SO is on Sathorn in a business/embassy area w/o nearby rest and not near any local transportation
