And in typical AF fashion, you had to make your booking before December 10. Not bad for an announcement made in January (the Newsletter arrived yesterday).
Do they ever get anything right (strikes aside) in that outfit?
The entire AF staff deserve to be fired or transfered to PIA (except the fine lady from the Invalides office).
Another proof of how useless Frequence Plus is. I can't figure out how Webflyer came up with a rating of 7.6 for the program.

BA EC Canada is almost just as useless. They send out newsletters trumpeting their bonus milleage/reduced award mileage promos well after they've started but at least most are still in effect when you get your newsletter (but not by much).

Hum hum...
Sorry to interrupt you.
I would like complain a usual too baout Air France, but sorry, this time the news are good:
This promotion is valid if you book BETWEEN 11 DE 00 and 15 MR 01 for flight between 10 JA and 15 MR 01, at least this is what my Air France letter in french says, dated december 2000, and received late december.
BTW, are you aware that I always received coupons, promotions from Delta that are obsolete too, and I complain each time without any positive result.
Yesterday, I visited their new shop on Chmaps-Elyses (Paris), common with Air France, I took one of their adverstisement on the stand (Delta one), and gave them back: the promotion was over since 10 DE 00 too, and nobody noticed that. (They just moved 3 days ago !!!! so every body had an opportunity to move this papaers and look at them)

I could not find info about this offer on either www.airfrance.com or www.airfrance.fr
Does anyone know if you must:
a) use miles from a frequence-plus account? meaning I can't use DL miles to redeem this AF award?
b) can travel originate in the US?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Felis and Scribbler,
FYI, hope you will find all information you need at: http://www.airfrance.com/double6/US/...w?OpenDocument
Go to www.airfrance.com
then select Frequence Plus,
then select Special offers under Members Service
2 for 1 award ticket is available for US members - using FP miles.
Am going to Barcelona direct from Paris end of the month with my girl friend. Cool!

I am afraid these are two separate offers:
1/ Two award tickets for one
- two Tempo tickets for 50,000 miles instead of 100,000
- two L'espace Affaires tickets for 80,000 miles instead of 160,000
- two L'espace Premiere tickets for 100,000 miles instead of 200,00
2/ Solo (for one) ticket at reduced level
- one tempo ticket for 35,000 miles instead of 50,000
- one l'Espace Affaires ticket for 50,000 miles instead of 80,000 miles
- one l'Espace Premiere ticket for 70,000 miles instead of 100,000 miles
In short, you get a 50% rebate for flying with a companion and only 30% if you are flying solo. You would therefore need 80,000 miles for a round trip in l'Espace Affaires with a companion.
I may be mistaken, but I see no possibility for combining the two offers.
