Amazon sells 1000's of products on their own, a lot of them from top brands like Canon, Apple, Lenovo and Toshiba.

I know Dell stopped selling Nikon because it was not an official reseller, but I was always under the impression that Amazon was legit.

I'm willing to bet that Amazon is one of the top selling Nikon dealers in the world. It would be stupid of Nikon to ignore that.
