Well, on Thursday KL671/YUL went again out 5 hours late, and it seems as if the airline is again short of 1 MD11 frame overall. From what I hear, the latest is that some defect has been discovered in the aircraft's fuel pump and that all 10 frames have to go into the hangar as soon as possible to have the entire fuel pump replaced, an operation which apparently takes a day or 2 of hangar time. KLM doesn't have that kind of operational spare available in the schedule, so expect more woes in the next month or so.
