I came through SFO yesterday with over three pounds of Cowgirl Creamery cheese plus a half pound date/nut cake in my carry-on and although then ran the bag through the scanner twice they did not open it to look.
One the cheeses was similar to parmegiano so it would have been denser than chocolate and yes I know SFO is not manned by the TSA.
