I am starting a new thread, as this issue has come up on other threads under different topics that not everyone interested may have seen.
aa.com would lead you to expect EQM = RDM = 25% or 30% of BIS miles on BA/IB. And Carlitos

The result is, the American Airlines AAdvantage system only credits the real Q points for the BA flights, so if I add up the real miles that I was awarded for the BA flights that is the number of Q points I was awarded and the number of Q points that AA has in its system for platinum challenge purposes. So the Q points I get to see in AA.com are not the real ones.

But the thing is I learned now that BA flights do not get 500 Q points as a minimum, but the real mileage awarded to the account. That is 25% for the type of fare I bought. Well, hope this helps other persons that might go through the same situation I went through. Will let you know if my status changes with the next two flights.
Yet I qualified for EXP in September the moment my displayed EQM including BA and IB flights went over 100,000, and I have not seen previous reports of discrepancies between displayed and "actual" EQM/EQP involving BA and IB flights.
So the possibilities seem to be:
1. A very recent change in policy by AA.
2. The rules for challenges are different to those for normal qualification.
3. The rules for accumulation of BA/IB EQP are different to those for EQM.
Has anyone else had experience of discrepancies?
