My friend wanted to dump his dad's ashes in the Liverpool harbor. He does not fly very often so as we checked in in TPA with AA he got the SSSS BP. I explained to him that he will get a secondary by TSA so at least he knew what was coming. I went through security, sat down on the other side and waited for him. Fortunately I was close enough to hear the conversation between the TSA agent and my friend.

TSA: what's in this box, sir?
My friend: it's my dad
TSA: ohh, sorry, thank you sir, please proceed.....

He did get an extra look because of the SSSS, but the ashes were not a problem at all.

In fact, after his experience, he came up with an idea of smuggling certain drug as ashes... until I explained to him that it's not TSA he has to worry about, it's the customs on the other side that may, perhaps, have a problem with his idea...
