US Granting An Exemption To National German Shepherd Dog Show

Clearly US isn't rethinking the policy - but here they seemed to realize that the cutoff was a potential problem.

Airline relaxes rule for Concord dog show

US Airways is officially out of the doghouse with several hundred German shepherd owners coming to a November dog show in Cabarrus County.

But since the event ends after Nov. 1, owners of up to 300 dogs were looking at getting into town with their pets but scrambling for ways to get them out.

So dog show officials and the Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau talked to US Airways. On Wednesday, the airline said it was waiving its policy to accommodate the dog group.
