On a flight this week from ATL to ORF, I was pleased to see that they filled all of the available FC seats (about 8 of them) with military guys. (One guy asked the FA if he could get "free refills" on his cocktail!)
They pulled these guys from the back of the plane, at the last minute. On the return Friday, they had one empty FC seat, and again, upgraded a man in uniform.
WELL DONE! That's the first kind thing I can say about Delta in quite a while.
(On another note, upon sharing that with a liberal-minded friend, she couldn't help showing her contempt).
