The back-half of my day trip to DCA. I finished my meetings a little early, but not early enough to make an earlier flight. So I kept my upgrade, and drank a bunch of free SkyClub beer.
Entree: Pork & beef meatballs over cheese and spinach, with bread
Side: Salad with sun-dried tomatoes
Dessert: Sea salt, chocolate chip cookies
Drink: Woodford
The meal:
Verdict: I was sort of dreading the food options, but was pleasantly surprised with the choice of this meatball dish or a salad with chicken. The meatballs were warm and tasty, the salad was just the way I liked it and the cookie was awesome. The woodford didn't disappoint either.
Service: Full PDBs, solid crew and plentiful drinks. They also passed a snack basket, which I didn't think was protocol for a flight that short. By the end of the flight I was totally beat, but always glad to be spending the night in my own bed.
