Never had any trouble with that kind of thing - in my opinion the service on longhaul J with AB is excellent. It's a relatively small cabin and I have always found the FAs very attentive and the service prompt.

One more small point regarding row 5 is that whilst it might be nearer to the toilet, that toilet can sometimes be encroached upon by those passengers at the front of the Y cabin. I actually believe you would be better off in row 1 for toilet access as well.
