So as a status update:
I was conditionally approved on 5/23, and had to schedule an interview. I scheduled one for the end of July in Calgary, but as I was poking around GOES on last Thursday, I saw where there were openings on this past Sunday at YVR. And it just so happens that UA was offering fairly cheap deals from SNA, so I took advantage of it. When I got to YVR, I asked the CBSA officer manning the NEXUS lines as to whether the enrollment center is open and he said that it was. At the enrollment center, I asked if I could be taken as a walk-in and after a minute of consulting with either the CBSA or CBP officers, the person at the window handed me a number and within 15 minutes, my interview was completed and at 6pm yesterday, I got an email from GOES telling me about a status change, which was that I was formally approved and my new expiration date is 2022.
