My wife and daughter are in the lounge now (Memorial Day, 4:30 pm). They report that it's a small lounge, and very nice. Many people in there, but not crowded. Good food selection and comfortable seating.
Their Southwest flight is delayed, so they'll probably spend over an hour in there. That flight departs from gate 29 (terminal 2), and the Escape Lounge is between gates 8 and 8A (terminal 1). Still, all OAK gates are connected airside, and if you walk at a normal pace, you would spend no more than 10 minutes walking from gate to gate at the ends of terminals 1 and 2.
