Small but significant change at VCE. Instead of bored security guys, you'll now find a buzzer / intercom at the bottom of the escalator by the non-Schengen connection security point so you can summon security. Which sounds cool in a "quite like OSL" way. Only this is Italy, Toto, not Norway, so it took 20 minutes and three goes on the buzzer before they turned up (mid afternoon). Now I made it (with plenty of time in the end) but it wasn't the most relaxing 20 minutes I've ever spent in an airport. Whether you're better waiting for Godot or attempting to immigrate and pass through security, I couldn't say...
