Ordered a special meal for no other reason then to give one a whirl. FA confirmed my special meal was on board when taking meal orders and wanted to make sure I still wanted it. She did not mention what kind I ordered.

I ordered the bland meal and Delta describes it as this:

Bland Meal
Menu items that could potentially cause gastric irritation will not be used in the preparation of these meals. Examples of foods excluded hot mustard, hot spices, pickles, garlic, fried and fatty foods.

It was a salad with olive oil vinagairette (same salad regular meals were served), chicken breast, roasted carrots, asparagus and sweet potatoes.
The metal tin was melted butter which doesn't make much sense based on the description above.

Roll was offered but I declined. Overall the meal was OK but the chicken was very salty.
