Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Los Angeles Hollywood Walk Of Fame

What is your IHG Rewards Club status?
Spire Royal Ambassador

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?.

Yes

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?.

Booked on points, and received a king executive room with sofa on high floor with Hollywood view

How are the rooms?
Corporate design that could be more fun
Clean
Room with comfortable bed, desk

Bathroom with small bathtub (not a big fan of the water flow that can not really be adjusted)
White Citrus amenities (I must say I like very much the smell).

Keurig coffe machine.
Television set with impressive selection of cable channels.
View over Hollywood hills
Very quiet

How is the exec. lounge?.
N/A

What was good and what was bad?.

Good

- At check-in: "Would you like points or welcome bag? Oh, I will give you both and a free Diet Coke"
- Very friendly staff
- Outdoor pool
- Convenient location

Bad
- No electrical outlet near the bed (strange that bedside lamp has no electrical outlet included in the base, when the desk lamp has some).
- Breakfast is ok (even if not at the standard of European Holiday Inn Express hotels, serving more fresh/quality products). It is always strange to have to use plastic plastic plate and cutlery
- Breakfast is served until 9.30 am (which means at this property that guests are required to leave the restaurant at 9.30am)

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

The hotel costs 40,000 points a night!
