"I am a JV supervisor, I can open inventory on DL, AF, KLM..."
I had a Saturday schedule change this weekend. The change was in the timing of a DL flight to CDG.
I encountered pushback in getting rebooked on what I wanted. The agent and then supervisor would only rebook me through CDG (or another connecting city). When I explained that there was no timely DL flight to CDG, the supervisor said that there was an AF flight at around the same time. I didn't want that, and offered "but you can't open up AF award inventory."
The reply I got was the title above. That wasn't what I wanted, so I didn't push further, but I was very surprised to hear that. I know the supervisor cited AF and KLM. I think she cited FCO as well, which surprised me.
(Frankly, all of it surprised me. The number of times I wanted them to open inventory and they said they couldn't do it....)
