This is a bit redundant, as it has already been reported by others, but if anyone is interested in a recent data point, I can confirm that paying rent with Plastiq does still give 3x points and codes as "MiscellaneousREAL ESTATE AGENTS AND MANAGERS RENTALS." Both the payment itself and the fee (which posted as a separate transaction) got the 3x.
