Booked "1 KING BED STANDARD NONSMOKING" - apparently most of these rooms are actually Junior Suites with a separate sitting area with sofabed, work desk, and two-seat dining table - so technically no upgrade but it was a nicer room of the category

Room itself was more spacious than average, smaller bathroom with sink in the main room

What was good and what was bad?
Good:
- Big group of 20-something party animals checking in before me; clerk put them in the opposite end of the hotel
- Location - Quiet neighborhood, almost spooky quiet
- Lots of free parking
Bad:
- Location - Not close to anything... 15+ minute drive to downtown Portland and on the back side of the airport - much more a Vancouver, Washington hotel than Portland
- Small breakfast room but food restocked frequently
