So... I show up today and THIS is what they call a desk:



No lamp, no phone... a flat spot right next to the TV. To make it worse, the TV doesn't swivel. It is fixed parallel to the wall behind it so its optimal viewing angle is ONLY available when you watch it from the bed.

I talked to the hotel manager (not the front desk manager) and he sent me up one of the old style desks and a lamp with outlet in the base. The maintenance guy says they are getting tons of complaints about the lack of work space in the room. I also got the "millennials like to work on the bed" story from him but he says he got it from the designers who did the rooms.

Humm... Maybe I should get Hilton to match my status
