One of the MIA-LAX (and return) flights is also a 3 class intercontinental on a 772 (for now).
To make matters much better, that becomes a 777-323ER / 77W as of 17 December 2015. Looks like they might be originating the aircraft used for LAX-SYD at MIA and back to MIA when it returns from SYD.
