Platinum.

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes, very.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked King, given same (all rooms are equal size, no suites).

What was your welcome gift?
Gift bag (H20 + Oreos) or 500 bonus points.

How are the rooms?
Chic, nicely updated. Good size.

How is the exec. lounge?
N/A.

What was good and what was bad?
Good
- wonderful staff, really warm and eager to please
- nicely updated rooms
- very good soundproofing of windows, could not hear road
- quiet HVAC unit
- large flatscreen, 50+ channels, many in HD
- well-designed bathroom, good shower pressure, plush towels
- above-average HIX breakfast
- attached restaurant & many within a short walk
- oversized new whirlpool
- 1.5 miles to train station (then a 25 minute ride to downtown Boston)
- right off the I-95, 14 miles north of Boston

Bad
- No hotel shuttle or public transport, this without a car you need a cab to get anywhere & they are not reliable

Value for $ or IHG Points? Would you return?
Excellent value. Rates around $100 - 130+, about 1/3 the price for a comparable hotel in downtown Boston.
