This makes sense, but its my first tickets for say 10 years booked via 1A. Even AA flights within US were ticketed via 1A.
Maybe they were unable to add e-mails to 1S reservations (so that people can see on virtuallythere.com) and decided to move to 1A (checkmytrip does not require e-mail verification)
