This puzzles me.

First, the info is a bit different from the seat maps loaded by AF (e.g. the two HND flights seem to have the new seats by late November). I wonder who is right. Also would be useful to know whether those flights with NEW are daily or every other day.

Second, I try to infer the delivery schedule from this table. It seems that a single 772 is in operation since June on AF8/9, although that is underutilizing the frame as it is idle for some 6 hours at CDG.

If the info above is correct, a second 772 will start operating HND from October 26 AF274/293 every other day. It is even given daily after 10/11 on AF seat maps. The schedule for 274/293 is a bit strange. It leaves CDG at 23:25 (say Monday) arrives HND 19:25 (Tuesday) spends 4 hours there, leaves at 00:30 and returns at CDG at 05:30 (tuesday). Then it seems idle till the evening which is unlikely. That frame could be used for some other route, but I do not see any other scheduled addition from October in the Table above.
I do not know how AF manages its fleet but I would expect frames would do a mixture of extra LH and short LH to optimize utilization.

Anyone with better information on frame utilization and the exact number of planes being delivered between June 2014 and March 2015 (9 months)? A possible guess is 8 772 and 4 773, but there could be more if some new frames are used to offer a daily flight to extra LH. And I guess that the new F will only be available on 29 September.
