Flew from EDI to LHR to MIA on the 7th May with Mrs Gojo, it was our first time in First.
We had booked this using my avios and a 2 for 1 Amex voucher.
It turned out we were in old first and were offered the compensation card to fill out, I was pleasantly surprised when 50000 avios was paid into both our accounts 2 days later.
On the return 12th May once again old first, this time we opted for £250 and one day after arriving we received the e-vouchers.
So two return flights in F cost a total of about £500 in taxes etc and 25000 avios.
Can anyone tell me if the e-voucher is as good as cash for example do you earn tier points when using it?
