Just wanted to update this. After a short email to 1kVoice was offered a choice of 20k miles or a $350 cert. Pretty decent resolution i think. Also got some class of service bonus for the rebooked flight and use the vouchers for a $30 Dunkin Donuts gift card. Yum :-/
