I had a Personal Platinum Visa denied in August, then approved after speaking with a manager on the recon line (there was some confusion over the number of cards I had). He spooked me a little - he said something about having to be careful, because there were "lots of people out there just signing up for cards, getting the bonus, and then cancelling".
Has anybody ever had, or heard of someone else having, their account flagged with something like that? Some kind of flag to require manual review before any new accounts are approved, or anything like that? I know it may seem a little far-fetched to some of you, but I'm all about playing it safe. I'm definitely waiting 6+ months from that date before applying for another AA card (business this time). I'm just trying to figure out if I should have any concerns, if I should wait longer, or anything like that.
