Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome



We checked in to the hotel at around 4PM, and were greeted warmly by the receptionist, who informed us that we’d been upgraded from a Park Queen to a Deluxe King on the 6th (top) floor, facing Rue de la Paix.

It was a beautiful room with a comfortable bed:

A huge (by French standards, perhaps very big by American ones) bathroom with two sink areas and two dressers:







And, my favorite part by far, a small balcony with an amazing view of Place Vendome:



Normally we get antsy staying in one place for longer than a few nights, so a week is a challenge anywhere, but this would be a more-than-comfortable place to try it.

My fiance had recently attained Hyatt Diamond status via the trial, and it paid off here. American breakfast is free for Diamonds, and can be taken in the restaurant, or as a 100 Euro credit toward room service. With it being Christmas week, we found the buffet to be quite crowded, and ended up ordering room service every day except for the first.

But, I’d recommend going for quality over quantity here, and ordering a la carte. The black truffle eggs benedict and smoothies were all delicious, and more than enough to satisfy:
